S2K Programmer
Role description
The S2K Programmer will function work directly with technology stakeholders to maintain and enhance the S2K ERP system and configure modules such as A/R, EPCIS, EDI interfacing, and logistics. This person will also be reviewing data structures within AS/400 and RPG environments and will be producing system reports to upper management. The ideal person can continuously enhance S2k ERP systems and modules and resolve any technical incidents collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Job Duties:
• Own daily configuration and support activities for various modules and data structures within an S2K ERP, IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform and RPG technical stack while providing Level-2 support (diagnosis, fixing) to outstanding runtime defects.
• Develop and continuously enhance S2k ERP systems to align with user requirements, encompassing modifications to modules such as A/R, EPCIS, EDI interfacing, and logistics.
• Configure said modules in addition to providing ongoing support, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting to ERP systems and add ons.
• Enable rightsizing and cost optimization by tagging and monitoring the running instances and anything that is not required to run.
• Offer assistance with S2K ERP software by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding them through corrective steps.
• Support the organization in optimizing the use of the ERP system and update process and procedure manuals to enable self-help opportunities for users.
• Configure and run regular scheduled patching and updates of software and platform components.
• Provide follow up on issues and through completion to ensure resolution and collaborate with other IT teams to attend to any bugs, errors, defects or events.
Education & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 3+ years’ hands-on experience with IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform
• 3+ years’ experience within VAI S2k ERP system and user support environments
• 3+ years’ experience with RPG programming language
• Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, 3rd parties and cross functional teams.
Plus:
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (written, verbal) is a plus
