IT Project Coordinator
Role description
We are looking for an IT Project Coordinator who can serve as a link between the Information Technology team, Business users, and the Project Management Office (PMO). The role will involve understanding the system's requirements, business functions and needs, and objectives by supporting Senior members of the team. Collaborate with other Project Managers, technical teams, 3rd party vendors/suppliers, and Program Managers to drive strategic objectives through detailed project planning and stakeholder management. The role requires someone with strong project management experience and solid knowledge in Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe), as well as procedures focused on business processes.
Job Duties:
• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to gather functional requirements by conducting detailed interviews with management, end users, and business unit stakeholders.
• Support Project Managers to gather, analyze and document business requirements, process flows, and transfer knowledge to the development team with Agile environments.
• Define user stories and cases throughout full Software Development and/or Project Life Cycle (SDLC) in addition to participating in sprints and iterations as a part of an Agile team.
• Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) detailing specifications regarding implementations, integrations, migrations and development projects throughout the company.
• Meet with end users and clientele to best understand needs and verify efficiency of systems.
• Define technical reporting and alerting requirements/validations in addition to developing relationship with partners in IT and Operations, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration between Operations, IT, and PMO.
• Help design, document, and maintain system processes while participating in status meetings.
• Prepare requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations while documenting detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions using good documentation and writing practices.
• Analyze objectives and present proposals to stakeholders, review metrics to identify incongruous reporting and messaging while offering analytical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• Tracks and runs the program schedule and task details included in the program plan. Analyzes the actual performance against the plan and adjusts consistent with plan objectives including risks and issues.
Education & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal, writing, reading) is required
• 2-3+ years’ experience working within a PMO environment driving IT projects
• Knowledge of the ITIL fundamentals is required, certifications are highly desired
Preferred Requirements:
• Project management experience is a plus
• ITIL and/or PMP, Agile SAFe certifications are all desired but not mandatory
• Experience working in a company based on ITIL environment within telecommunications industry following enhanced Telecom Operations Mapping (eTOM) framework
