Jr. Business Analyst
Role description
The Jr. Business Analyst is responsible for partnering with functional areas within Technology & Operations as well as the broader organization to manage key governance routines and coordinate materials for critical committees. This person will facilitate business requirements gathering, BRD generation and will also collaborate with various departments and IT to coordinate and participate in the review and approval process, and mapping to top risks & issues within project implementation environments.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison between Internal Audit, Compliance, and/or Risk Management stakeholders to share information and address issues as needed pertaining to audits, risk analysis and regulatory reporting for Technology & Operations (T&O).
- Work with functional areas within Technology & Operations as well as the broader organization to manage key governance routines and coordinate materials for critical committees.
- Identify critical areas to monitor and escalates issues and findings to appropriate stakeholders while evaluating documentation to ensure completeness, gain feedback from key stakeholders and confirm alignment with enterprise policies, procedures and T&O Governance.
- Serve as primary point of contact with vendors to evaluate, implement, address, and coordinate regulatory compliance and governance.
- Participate in the examination, review, analysis and auditing of Technology Operations throughout USA entities regarding risk management, regulatory programs.
- Contribute to examinations, audits and reviews on behalf of the Technology organization while interfacing with all key stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of legal and regulatory matters affecting the US financial services industry, the regulatory environment, and potential impact on US operating entities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 2-3+ years’ experience in Business System Analysis, Technical Writing, Policy Administration, Internal Controls, Auditing, or relevant IT experience and/or legal or regulatory experience
- Ability to build credibility with, collaborate with, and influence line of business executives
- Ability to build internal and external networks of information resources within the IT management ecosystem
- Outstanding listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and communicate with providers and practice staff
Preferred Requirements:
- Advanced understanding of the financial services regulatory environment a plus
