Data Quality Developer

Role description

The Data Quality Developer will assist the Data Governance & Data Quality teams in the implementation and production of data quality rules. This person analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations to determine user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems. Developer who comes from a development background and has experience meeting with users, business units and data modeling teams to craft and assemble technical designs for solutions to be implemented. This person will be interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences within an Informatica PowerCenter IDQ development environments while providing Production support and defining dataflows.  

Job Duties:

  • Create and develop Data Quality Rules in Informatica Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and ensure development guide and best practice for developing PowerCenter solutions are followed.
  • Understand the business requirement while serving as technical liaison between teams regarding new system implementations, development, integration, and changes while collaborating with management to design technical solution.
  • Serve as primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff on nonproduction and production environments.
  • Design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs within Informatica IDQ solution implementation and support, when needed.
  • Understand the business requirement or the downstream process requirements while serving as technical liaison between teams regarding new system implementations, development, integration, and changes while collaborating with management to design technical solution. 
  • Review test scope, test approach/strategies, manage defects closing during the SIT and UAT.


Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 4+ years’ experience with Informatica Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Python, Snowflake and Data Governance concepts
  • Strong understanding of data profiling and Data Quality Rule development in IDQ is a must
  • Strong experience in code deployment to QA/PROD environments and Testing Experience in ETL technologies


Plus:

  • Previous experience in design and development of data quality reporting frameworks is highly desired
  • Previous experience in banking/financial sectors is a plus
