Role description

We are seeking an experienced L2 Application Support Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background with expertise in full-stack development, cloud computing, and system integration. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking or finance-related software applications and possess problem-solving skills to ensure application stability and performance.


Job Duties:

  • Provide L2 application support, ensuring seamless functionality of enterprise applications.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues reported by business users.
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and infrastructure teams to deploy fixes and enhancements.
  • Work on automation solutions for incident management and system monitoring.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document resolution steps.
  • Maintain strong security protocols and compliance adherence for sensitive financial systems.
  • Provide technical expertise for releases, deployments, and change management.
  • Support application components, APIs and related technologies.
  • Work with AWS services to manage cloud-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools like Jira, Confluence etc.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support critical application incidents.


Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development and application support.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript
  • Strong experience with APIs, microservices architecture, and AWS.
  • Knowledge of front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JWT authentication.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and incident management solutions.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with global teams (Spanish and English)
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring team alignment on priorities.
  • A proactive approach to incident resolution and process improvements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, JIRA, and API integrations.
  • Certifications in AWS, ITIL, or relevant cloud technologies.
