Security Engineer

Role description

This person will be configuring and installing firewalls and proxies within virtual and physical network IT infrastructures (IPS, network access controls, and security infrastructure). Collaborate with upper management to design solutions and document vulnerabilities detected within areas such as third party connections while collaborating with technical teams to resolve any vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with industry regulations. The ideal person can prepare technical procedures, standards & network schematics interfacing with stakeholders and technical audiences in an international environment.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement enterprise networks and related hardware and software in addition to establishing security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters.     
  • Prepare and configure technical procedures, standards & network schematics/design for firewall infrastructure (CheckPoint preferred & Cisco is a plus), proxy technologies (Blue Coat, Cisco IronPort/Umbrella, Zscaler), IPS, and Network Access Control (Cisco ISE).
  • Offer tier-2 troubleshooting and support engineering in addition to supporting the evaluation of technical requirements for projects to determine the impact to the infrastructure including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements.
  • Configure and maintain virtual network and update in CMDB, diagrams, and network security devices information about third party connections while collaborating with technical teams to take corrective action when necessary.
  • Escalate incidents within company and/or with external technical resources when necessary.
  • Prepare coverage reports for management review and recognize threats and intrusions by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations. 
  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
  • Evaluate applications to discover vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk.


Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in relevant field/equivalent work experience
  • Must be bilingual (written and verbal communication) in both English/Spanish
  • 2-3+ years of relevant IT work experience within Security Engineering and Configurations
  • Previous experience configuring and managing CheckPoint firewalls, Cisco ISE, ASA, security devices, firewalls, IPS/IDS
  • Previous experience configuring proxy technologies (Blue Coat, Cisco IronPort/Umbrella, Zscaler),
  • Knowledge and previous experience with vulnerability and hardening guide compliance


Desire Requirements (Not Mandatory):

  • Check Point Certifications (CCSA or CCSE) are highly preferred
  • Highly preferable experience with hardening of network and security devices
  • Proven routing and switching experience is highly preferred

The Sr. Program Manager will be developing and delivering new payment types or processes in line with industry developments, competitor developments. The ideal person has experience overseeing domestic US instant payment capabilities that include The Clearing House Real Time Payments system (RTP) and the Federal Reserve’s FedNow system in addition to covering cross-border instant payments solutions, such as IXB, as/when these gather industry momentum. The Sr. PM will also be responsible for providing direction and guidance for activities associated with planning and management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications. The Sr. Program Manager will drive execution of key deliverables calendar from information gathering, multiple management reviews, approvals and ongoing improvements within digital transformation initiatives.


Job Duties:

  • Execute payment strategies in conjunction with the Head of Transaction Banking Product Management, payments partners in the CBB/Digital, Commercial and CIB Lines of Business, as well as functional partners including IT, Operations, Marketing, Risk, Compliance and strategic third party providers (such as PagoNxt).
  • Develop product specifications and business requirements for new products to deliver the strategic product roadmap, with initial focus on real-time payments (RTP).
  • Manage the implementation and launch of RTP and FedNow to support US market clients.
  • Understand and actively manage the risks associated with instant payments products.
  • Actively manage the P&L of instant payments products, ensuring full visibility to costs and ROI.
  • Understand deeply how end users/customers use individual products, and how products deliver value for them in addition to the capabilities of our bank and non-bank competitors, and deliver product strategies that position us favorably in the market.
  • Work with Marketing partners to build effective market launch / go-to-market programs.
  • Build strong relationships with client-facing teams to ensure they fully understand the value of our payments products and how to position them with client.
  • Leverage data analysis and market intelligence to bring new ideas forward and align closely with Client Service & Onboarding to build and maintain a strong client experience.
  • Explore other emerging payments opportunities, including services leveraging blockchain and/or digital assets and near-term, innovative approaches as interim solutions.


Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 6+ years’ formal program management experience within payments technology (e.g. online channels, Transaction Banking/Payments, mobile payments, etc.)
  • Experience working on teams in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery approach
  • Solid understanding of Project Management Office governance procedures within IT and technical project environments (systems integrations, digitalization, automation and/or cloud computing)
  • Must understand Real-time Payments (RTP) and FedNow requirements, operating rules, and format specifications

The Risk Analyst will be supporting and driving various activities relating to IT risk management, 3rd party vendor risk-based assessments monitoring and reporting. Job Duties:

  • Ensure transparency of business results, finance and processes and track goals accomplishment, collect and process data and provides managers with all necessary company management data and information.
  • Challenge stratification of third-party risk-based assessments and refreshed regularly to efficiently allocate resources to relationships posing the highest risk.
  • Monitor inventory of third-party relationships including outsourcing partners, suppliers of goods and services (including third-party administrators), distribution partners, entity relations (associates, affiliates, joint ventures) and important fourth parties (sub-contractors).
  • Ensure capture of the full lifecycle and range of third-party relationships, identify, monitor and track exceptions to policy.

  • Must have deep knowledge in key domains of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), TPRM Metrics Design and Implementation and TPRM Policy and Procedures development
